If Disney’s main goal is to get me to spend money, they’re doing pretty good at it during this “spooktacular” time of year!

The Headless Horseman has arrived at the Disney Parks along with all of his spoopy glory! The Halloween Time season is officially underway! While there are a surplus amount of food offerings at the resort, there is an equally satisfying amount of seasonal merchandise! There is merchandise of all kinds available this season; some exclusive to Annual Passholders, some exclusive to attendees of the Mickey’s Halloween Party after-dark event, and some exclusive to this coast (as opposed to the Florida's Magic Kingdom!).

Dave Keefer, principal designer with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media Creative Group, explains that “this year’s art and design was inspired by Halloween images and graphics from the 1960s.” He says, “We used bold graphics with lots of bright colors. Guests will also find familiar Halloween icons, such as pumpkins, bats, and black cats, hidden throughout the art. I love how the artwork captures the Disney characters enjoying the spirit of this spooky season.”

Each Disney character takes on a unique color in this year’s designs! These designs are most prevalent in the pins, apparel, and Alex and Ani jewelry! Mickey Mouse is themed with blood red, while his other half, Minnie Mouse is grouping with delight in an elegant purple hue. Donald Duck adorns a similar blue color as his sailor cap, and Goofy is decked out in a ghoulish green design! And everyone’s favorite pup, Pluto, is themed with the color of the season, orange!
